Dr. Ahmad Zakaria Mohamed graduated from Kasr El-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt, in 2000. He completed his internship and Urology residency there. He then joined the faculty at Cairo University and specialized in Pediatric Urology. He came to the USA in 2009, to Pittsburgh, PA, first, where he did clinical research and worked on his PhD thesis. He finished a Pediatric Urology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, in 2013.
He has some basic science experience in urinary tract infections in children and obstructive uropathy in animal models. He has several publications in a variety of fields in pediatric urology. His practice covers all pediatric urologic conditions, and he has special interests in reconstructive surgery, disorders of sexual differentiation, and bladder dysfunction.
He worked as a pediatric Urologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville in Kentucky from 2014 to 2021 before moving to Buffalo and joining John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and the University of Buffalo as clinical faculty.
