Dear Parent/Guardian:
As we work to care for your family, a clean, safe environment has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations as well as any mandates from the State of New York.
We have made changes to help protect our patients and staff as well as to make sure we are following mandates from the State of New York. Some of these changes include:
Only 1 parent will be able to accompany the patient into the office. To maintain social distancing and the for the safety of other patients and staff, please leave siblings at home.
Both parent and child (age 2 and older) will need to wear a mask to the appointment and during the visit. Federal guidelines for wearing masks in businesses continue, so bring the mask you have been using.
When you arrive to the office, please come in and check in. We will ask you a simple screening questionnaire at this time.
All patients and parents will have their temperature taken using a touchless thermometer before being treated. If the recorded temperature is over 100 F, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
If we get behind in the office, we may ask you to go back out and wait in your car. At that time, we will confirm your cell phone number and call you when we are ready for your child to be seen.
At the end of the appointment, a team member will escort you to the exit. You will need to call our office to schedule your next appointment. (716) 859-7978.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. Rooms will be wiped down between patients. This might mean that you will be offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
We look forward to seeing you soon and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
Sincerely,
Pediatric Urology of WNY |
